Love's Beat, Music Sweet (Poem)

The Beatles would sing "I Want To Hold Your Hand"
The Guess Who sang "Share the Land"
Grand Funk Railroad played "We're An American Band"
Neil Young strummed away "Cowgirl In The Sand."
Together no roads planned

Buffalo Springfield loved the "Bluebird"
Moody Blues asked "Have You Heard"
War wanted to "Deliver The Word"
Roger Miller stated "You Can't Roller Skate In A Buffalo Herd"
My love your heart spurred

Carole King harped "You're So Far Away"

Peter Frampton asked you to "Show Me The Way"
The Buckinghams said "It's A Beautiful Day"
Leo Sayer whined "More Than I Can Say"
Beautiful always you stay

BTO always "Let It Ride"
Kansas drove "On The Other Side"
Poco had "Nothin' To Hide"
Paper Lace popped "The Night Chicago Died"
Your hand never was denied
ELO swung with "Boy Blue"
Pablo Cruise wondered "Whatcha Gonna Do"
The Eagles asked "Is It True"
James Taylor traveled to "Her Town Too"
No one ever needed but you

Linda Ronstadt moaned it "Hurt So Bad"
Traffic begged "Don't Be Sad"
ZZ Top had a "Groovy Little Hippie Pad"
Ozzy Osbourne gave us "That I Never Had"
True love real, never a fad

The times of our life overflow
With notes of love and horns that blow
Guitars strum the heart's desire
Drums that pound with blazing fire

We take a tour to music past
Continue play, our love will last
When it stops the time is done
The sky and us will join as one

But until that time the rhythm flows
Part of our life, the music shows
That you and I can't stop the beat
Enjoying love and music sweet
